Trip and Fall on Dangerous Uneven Threshold
A 42-year-old Hamilton Township, New Jersey, woman accepted a $625,000 settlement for injuries she sustained while working as a clerk for the State of New Jersey. The woman tripped on an uneven threshold that connected two buildings the State of New Jersey had leased from a private real estate company. The woman twisted her knee during the fall. She required three surgeries to her right knee. She then developed RSD and required extensive pain management. Discovery revealed that the property owner was in the process of replacing the threshold where the woman fell, but that the work was incomplete as a replacement part was on order. The threshold was left in a dangerous condition while awaiting the replacement part. The case settled after two full days of mediation before a retired New Jersey federal court judge.

The firm’s principals, Gabriel R. Lependorf and David E. Silverstein, have each been representing injured victims in the State of New Jersey for over thirty years.
