Man Awarded Compensation for an Icy Slip-and-Fall
On October 19, 2017, a 41-year-old Hamilton Township, New Jersey, man accepted a $750,000.00 settlement for lower-back injuries he suffered when he slipped on an icy, snow-covered walkway leading from his place of business to his company truck.
The case was handled as a workers’ compensation claim, as the man had checked into his place of employment to pick up his driving instructions for the day. In the third-party action, the property owner and snow removal company shared in the responsibility for failing to properly clean the dangerous, icy walkway that caused the fall.
The claim was filed in Mercer County Superior Court.
The firm’s principals, Gabriel R. Lependorf and David E. Silverstein, have each been representing injured victims in the State of New Jersey for over thirty years.
