Hunger BanquetFor over 20 years, Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C. has worked to fight for our clients. In that time, we have become deeply involved in the lives of Princeton residents. We’ve seen that some members of our community need our help in other ways beside legal help.

There are people in our community who don’t know where their next meal is coming from. We at Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C., feel that shouldn’t happen to anyone in Princeton during this day in age. This why we are proud to announce that Lependorf & Silverstein, P.C., is the corporate sponsor of “The Princeton Hunger Banquet.” Please join us on September 20th, from 1 – 3 p.m. at Hinds Plaza as we get together to have lunch and discuss the problem of hunger in our community. Students will be on hand to spark conversation about hunger issues at each table. The total cost of your $50 ticket will be donated to Send Hunger Packing. The whole family is invited!

What Is Send Hunger Packing Princeton?

In January 2013, a group was formed with members of the Princeton Human Services Commission, the Princeton School Board and Mercer Street Friends that was aimed at ending hunger in the Princeton area. The group is called Send Hunger Packing.

Over 400 kids in Princeton public schools are eligible for free lunches from the Federal Government. This feeds them during the week, but there’s no support available on weekends and holidays. Send Hunger Packing was started to provide meal assistance for school kids on weekends. The program is available now to anyone of any age in the community who needs it, totally free of charge. What Is The Princeton Hunger Banquet?

What “The Princeton Hunger Banquet” isn’t going to be is your normal fundraiser. Be ready for an immersive, interactive experience. The place you sit and the meal you’re served are determined by a drawing. This means you’ll be randomly assigned to sit in one of three sections: High End, Middle Tier and Lower Tier. The food and dining experience will be different, reflecting what is actually happening in Princeton. This is a great way to introduce an important community issue to families with school aged children.

We feel that this event will not only be fun and informative, but is important to the Princeton community. Please join us Sunday, September 20th for a day of good times supporting a great cause.
