Motorcycle accidents happen for a variety of reasons, but most accidents are caused as a result of the negligence of another driver. Negligence, or carelessness, can include a variety of actions, including speeding, driving while fatigued, drunk driving, and driving while distracted. Sadly, the negligence of other drivers can cause devastating accidents that can lead to a motorcyclist’s pain, suffering, and diminished quality of life.

Unfortunately, identifying the cause of a motorcycle accident can oftentimes be difficult and this can lead to misplaced judgment. When a motorcycle accident happens, it is not uncommon for the rider to be blamed for the accident as a result of preconceived opinions. For this reason, it is necessary for those injured to secure important evidence and obtain the proficient support of a qualified attorney who can advocate on their behalf.

Upon accident, motorcyclists have to be diligent in ensuring important evidence is safeguarded. A vast majority of these accidents can result in a lifetime of medical expenses, loss of earning potential, emotional trauma, pain and suffering, and a loss of enjoyment of life. By securing important evidence, it may be possible to hold the at-fault party responsible for his or her actions and obtain reasonable compensation.

Evidence that could establish the at-fault party’s liability includes pictures or video taken at the scene, surveillance footage, police reports, witness statements, and medical records. Some of the most critical pieces of evidence have to be collected immediately after the accident, and if the rider was seriously injured, securing this evidence may be close to impossible. Consequently, obtaining the support of an experienced auto accident attorney is necessary.

If you or a loved one was recently injured in an accident while out for a ride on a motorcycle, obtaining the support of an accident attorney to fight on your behalf is important. Obtaining the right legal counsel will ensure important evidence in your case is secured and your claim has the best opportunity at being successful. After an accident, do not delay – the State of New Jersey has a strict statute of limitations for motorcycle accident cases. You could be permanently barred from seeking compensation if the deadline is not met. Obtain proficient legal support right away.
